| Katar is really more of a druid than a wizard, despite his title, "The Mushroom Wizard." His symbol is the Sacred Mushroom. Woody is Katar's sidekick, not his "familiar," as many would believe. Katar is closest with animals & nature... he feels their happiness & pain and shares a limited capacity of communication with all life forms. Katar is protector of all lifeforms that seek refuge in the Sacred Life-Giving Mushroom Grove, where refuge is even sought by one of the undead ("Dead"), for in the Sacred Grove, Katar is King!! Katar often finds that humans & humanoids can be despicible creatures (a common sentiment, I'm sure) and may at times lose his patience with them. Never- theless, Katar (usually) forgives them, except for the most horrible of the lot (which seem to be legion), and has found at least a tiny handful of persons that he can actually trust & respect. You may find such a notion unheard of, but honor & integrity still live in the hearts of at least a miniscule portion of bipedal creatures!!! |
